About the Role

Suncorp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Personal Injury Team as a Worker Compensation Customer Relations Specialist. This exciting opportunity will see you working in a fast-paced environment, conducting internal reviews of adverse claims decisions and resolving escalated complaints for personal injury claimants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake internal reviews of adverse claim decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Deliver responses to escalated complaints, adhering to all regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Assist with incoming call complaints, addressing customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support the work of the Leader and Senior Customer Relations Specialists, contributing to the team's success.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of data, records, and information relevant to internal reviews and escalated complaints.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Privacy standards and requirements.

Requirements

  • Insurance Claims experience, with a strong understanding of the NSW Worker Compensation framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation to deliver soundly based decisions within statutory timeframes.
  • Strong technical skills in an insurance setting, preferably in workers compensation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
