Systems Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Systems Communications Specialist to join our team in New South Wales. As a specialist in communication systems, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and support of combat systems.

About the Role:

  • Diagnose problems with communication systems to develop solutions as required.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to meet objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering specialists to report problems, develop solutions and provide feedback.
  • Support peers and other teams by assisting with equipment installation and testing.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate III Electrical, Electronics or Communications, with a minimum 2 years post qualification experience in Defence or similar industry setting.
  • Understanding and experience in electronic system fault finding and diagnostic skills; electrical and data interface standards and protocols (RS232/422, USB, Networking); operating systems/servers, network protocols (Linux, Unix and Windows).
  • Experience working in a dynamic team to deliver outcomes to defined timelines.
