About the Role:

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Education Assistants – Special Needs. As an integral part of our school community, you will be working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality education programs that meet the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the delivery and implementation of planned education programs, including special education and therapy programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, helping them to develop their skills and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to understand communication difficulties and provide feedback on education and therapy programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive and culturally responsive education programs that reflect the diversity of our school community.

Requirements:

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights.
  • Valid Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
  • Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
