Physiotherapy Specialist

We are a multi-disciplinary therapy provider that offers fun and holistic therapy services for babies, children and teens. Our therapy services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. We provide therapy in various settings, such as homes, schools, and our clinic, on a weekly, fortnightly, or intensive basis during school holidays.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Physiotherapist at Little Bodies Therapy, you will deliver holistic therapy services to children and their families in a collaborative and evidence-based manner. You will work actively with the team around the child, including the child's family, other therapists, medical professionals, and educators. Your therapy services may be delivered in a clinic or community setting, including the child's home or school.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the child and their family to help achieve their individual goals
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in communicating information and professional advice to clients, their families, educators, and carers
- Undertake thorough, sensitive, and detailed clinical assessment
- Formulate and deliver individual physiotherapy intervention using clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice
- Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication methods to progress rehabilitation and treatment programs
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including NDIS, other disability service providers, and health professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Experience in Paediatric Physiotherapy
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Registration Board (AHPRA)
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current CPR certificate
- National Police Clearance certificate (no older than 6 months)
- Current Drivers License and a reliable, insured car
- Experience delivering assessment and therapy services in a clinic, home, and community setting
- Experience with administration and interpretation of standardized assessments
- Experience developing client and family-centered SMART goals and intervention plans
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with families with complex challenges and liaising with a range of government departments
- Passionate about guiding children with different abilities to be their very best selves
- Friendly, outgoing personality and strong work ethic
- Exceptional communication skills
- Competence with desk and portable technology, including cloud-based admin and client management systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Ability to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
