About the Role

Boeing is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to support the development of the MQ28, a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland, and will involve working on multiple BDA-supported aircraft, including the C-17A Globemaster, F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, and E-7A Wedgetail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components, and equipment.
  • Complete assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of aircraft maintenance activities, sign-off, and certification in accordance with Authorized Maintenance Data (AMD).
  • Apply trade qualifications and experience in the relevant trade category to ensure compliance with 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS) clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures, maintenance/modification procedures, and AMD and ICA documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a fully qualified maintainer.
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills Avionics qualification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Dept of Defence security clearance, at the required level for the role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the security requirements for ITARS clearance.
  • Ability to read, interpret, speak, and write fluently in English.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation quality assurance procedures, maintenance/modification procedures, and AMD and ICA documentation.
