Life-Changing Travel Opportunities
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a unique role that combines travel and professional expertise. As an Occupational Therapist, you will support adults with low or no vision to live independently and fulfill their lives.
Your key responsibilities will include delivering life-changing interventions, including functional and clinical assessments, prescribing assistive technology, and creating tailored intervention plans. You will also share your knowledge with external organisations and help raise awareness about specialist fields.
This is a hybrid telehealth role where you will provide services to clients in Tasmania, working with a trained therapy assistant on-site. Every few months, you will fly from Perth to Tasmania for in-person therapy before returning to work with our large multidisciplinary adult therapy team in Perth.
We take care of the details, providing return flights, accommodation, meal allowance, and a work vehicle while in Tasmania. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent.
- Deliver person-centred clinical assessments and develop individualised service plans.
- Monitor and evaluate individualised services and supports.
- Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practice and emerging technologies.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments within our client management system.
- Escalate issues affecting service delivery to the program manager promptly.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA.
- High level of interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to implement personal and family-centred practice and interventions.
- Strong administration and organisation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and achieve positive outcomes.
We offer a range of benefits to support your success in this role, including:
- Return flights to Tasmania every few months.
- Accommodation and meal allowance while in Tasmania.
- A work vehicle for use during assignments.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and make a real difference in the lives of adults with low or no vision. If you are a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.
