Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to join our team. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Engineering at Commonwealth Bank.

Your technical expertise and leadership will guide the team in addressing complex challenges while ensuring scalability, security, and reliability in all deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement solutions to complex problems, including onboarding and migrating to new tooling as well as removing obsolete systems and code.
  • Encourage risk-taking and constructively challenge the status quo while influencing stakeholders and building diverse and inclusive teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Nodejs/TypeScript and REST APIs.
  • Serverless computing experience using AWS (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, IAM Roles & Policy, SQS, SNS, Dynamo).
  • Sound knowledge of OAuth2 and mTLS.
  • Infrastructure as code experience using AWS CDK/Terraform/CloudFormation/SST.
  • Microservices architecture experience, Design Patterns, and best practices in software programming.
  • Working knowledge on Pub-Sub and Streaming technologies such as SQS, SNS, Kafka, and Kinesis.
  • Monitoring and logging tools experience such as Splunk, CloudWatch.
