Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering system drivers and system software that manages storage services in Azure.
  • Design and develop system software that ensures services and components are well-defined, modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored, and reusable.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, including mentoring more junior engineers in the workgroup.
  • Drive for quality in everything you do and continuously improve the quality of the systems on which you work.
  • Collaborate across team boundaries to define and drive team charter and vision.
  • Test, debug, and improve existing storage features.
  • Rapidly deploy cloud-scale solutions and monitor health through telemetry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • 2+ years of people management/technical lead experience.
