Hospital Assistant

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a safe environment, improving your knowledge and practical skills through training.

The role involves carrying out cleaning duties in clinical and non-clinical areas, including surfaces, fittings, fixtures, and furniture.

You will be responsible for using electrical equipment, vacuum cleaners, ladders, or scrubbers as needed.

Cleaning in immediate patient environments, such as infectious or isolation rooms, is also part of this position.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience as a cleaner in a healthcare facility or commercial/industrial setting.

Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload are essential.

You must also be able to work under supervision and/or independently and undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective team member.

Fulfilling the physical requirements of the position is mandatory.

This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
