About the Opportunity
">Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation is seeking two full-time General Practitioners to join our team in Quirindi, NSW, and Tamworth, NSW.
We are committed to delivering culturally sensitive healthcare services to the Quirindi, Walhallow, and Tamworth communities.
As a General Practitioner at WAC, you will play a vital role in delivering primary healthcare services to Aboriginal communities.
You will focus on high-quality clinical care, compliance, and community health initiatives.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing quality clinical care, including assessments, treatment, and preventative strategies tailored to the community's needs
- Developing and implementing GP management plans to support improved health outcomes
- Supporting the organisation's compliance with AGPAL accreditation and Medicare MBS requirements
- Participating in community-based initiatives such as school and corrections visits
- Supervising clinical students and promoting skill development among staff
- Collaborating with allied health professionals and community stakeholders to address health challenges holistically
About You
To qualify, you will need AHPRA registration and a tertiary qualification in Medicine.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Practitioner will also be essential.
The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building skills, empathy, and a collaborative mindset.
Experience working within community-controlled health services will be highly valued.
We offer a competitive annual salary of $265,000–$285,000, plus incentives and a range of excellent benefits.
This includes relocation assistance of up to $10,000, superannuation, and tax-effective salary packaging options.
