The City of Mandurah Recreation Centres is on the lookout for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Swim School team at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
We seek candidates who have a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and are dedicated to delivering high-quality Learn-to-Swim programs for infants aged 6 months to 4 years and beyond, all within a safe, welcoming, and professional atmosphere.
Key qualifications and skills required include:
- AUSTSWIM or equivalent teaching credentials or Royal Life Saving Society Teachers (RLSS) Certificate
- AUSTSWIM or equivalent qualification in Infant Aquatics (Desirable)
- Prior experience in swim instruction or teaching
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- RLSS Resuscitation Certificate
- Senior First Aid Certificate (Must hold current qualification or be willing to obtain)
- Current RLSS Bronze Medallion (Must hold current qualification or be willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance (less than 6 months) and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)
Availability for weekday morning and afternoon shifts, as well as Saturday and Sunday morning shifts, is essential.
Compensation includes part-time rates of $36.05 per hour and casual rates of $43.26 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, along with applicable weekend loadings.
