About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our real estate finance team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be working on a broad range of real estate finance matters, including secured and unsecured transactions, syndicated and bilateral facilities, both cross-border and domestic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with complex real estate finance transactions, including secured and unsecured deals, syndicated and bilateral facilities, cross-border and domestic.
  • Work closely with our leading real estate finance partners to deliver high-quality legal advice and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry contacts.
  • Contribute to the development of our real estate finance practice, including identifying new business opportunities and strategies.

About You

  • 4-6 years of experience in real estate finance, preferably gained in a reputable commercial law firm or professional services firm.
  • Strong technical drafting and communication skills.
  • Ability to assist clients with making difficult decisions.
  • Client-focused mindset, responsive manner, and ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients, and industry contacts.
  • Team player attitude, collaborative method, and collegial style, with ability to mentor more junior lawyers in the group.
