Program Coordinator - Youth Voice

The Youth Voice Program Coordinator plays a vital role in empowering, inspiring and equipping young people with skills to become better leaders in their communities.

This is a part-time permanent role, working four days a week at $38.60 per hour plus superannuation, based out of our Y Victoria State Office (Box Hill) with the option to work from home two days a week.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing and delivering youth leadership programs, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and be able to engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Delivery & Development: develop events and training programs that meet the needs of young people and their schools/communities
  • People Leadership: inspire and motivate the team by promoting a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Occupational Health and Safety: ensure a commitment to an ongoing safety culture

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in both developing and delivering youth leadership/development programs
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Experiencing in working with young people and schools (desirable)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • First Aid Level 2
  • CPR
  • Qualifications in Youth, Community, Education or Management, or some demonstrated experience equivalent
