Job Title: Laboratory Specimen Collector

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Laboratory Specimen Collectors to provide medical services in Taree and Wingham, NSW areas. The successful candidates will work part-time or casually and be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients, performing ECGs and Holter monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To collect blood and other samples from patients in residential homes and aged care facilities
  • To perform ECGs and Holter monitors
  • To process pathology specimens
  • To maintain accurate records and paperwork

Requirements:

  • Venepuncture experience with vacutainer method essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team
  • Clerical duties and processing paperwork
  • Current NSW driver licence
  • Ability to communicate with the team, referring doctors, and patients
  • Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Compliance with Work Health and Safety guidelines
