Overview

As a fire safety engineering specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of people and assets in various environments.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist senior engineering staff in preparing consultancy reports and tender submissions;
  2. Conduct fire safety risk engineering assessments for projects of varying size and scale;
  3. Undertake qualitative and quantitative fire engineering analysis, including computer-aided fire and evacuation modelling simulations;
  4. Develop engineering consultancy reports, including fire engineering briefs and reports;
  5. Prepare project quotations, tendering, and other documentation as required by clients and stakeholders;
  6. Undertake site inspections and fire safety engineering auditing for existing buildings and project construction staging prior to occupation;
  7. Assist directors and senior staff in project communications with clients, industry professionals, and relevant authorities;
  8. Interpret architectural drawings, project briefs, and engineering documentation and specifications in accordance with building code requirements;
  9. Assist in client presentations and present fire safety engineering performance solutions to approving authorities.
Requirements
  • Achieved or near-achieving completion of an Engineers Australia recognised Engineering Degree;
  • Preparedness to pursue postgraduate education in fire safety engineering;
  • Proven proficiency in English language and technical writing;
  • Familiarity with mathematical and scientific principles.
