About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Hitachi Energy as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution
Develop and implement effective project plans, ensuring that all project activities are properly coordinated and executed. This includes planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling technical activities to ensure predictable fulfillment of planned activities.
Customer Satisfaction and CommunicationEstablish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that their expectations are met and exceeded. This includes communicating project status, issues, and changes to customers in a timely and transparent manner.
Technical ManagementManage all technical aspects of projects, including design reviews, FAT/Inspections, and logistics. Ensure that all technical matters are properly coordinated and executed, and that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
Scope ManagementManage project scope, including the collection and management of all project technical issues. Ensure that all changes to project scope are properly approved and documented.
Risk ManagementIdentify, contain, and reduce risks associated with projects. Ensure that all opportunities for customer satisfaction, gross margin improvement, and project growth are captured and acted upon.
Health, Safety, and EnvironmentEnsure that all project activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. This includes ensuring that all personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing complex projects and different contractual types. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- Education
Engineering degree in Electrical (or recognized equivalent).
ExperienceStrong and demonstrated experience in management of scope, cost, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors. Solid experience managing projects, ideally managing complex projects and different contractual types.
SkillsComputer skills including SAP (highly preferable), Microsoft Office & MS Project, Outlook, Visio. Experience in coordinating multiple key stakeholders/teams in remote locations. Demonstrated commercial understanding. Proactive and highly organized. Influencing and engaging skills to achieve notable outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
