Infrastructure Project Manager Opportunity

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring external contractors undertaking complex construction activities comply fully with the Contract Lifecycle Management Framework and all contractual compliance obligations and requirements.

In this role, you will manage and develop relationships with external contractors and stakeholders to deliver Western Power's contractual works effectively and efficiently to the required standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring delivery of the works by the external contractor">
  • Influencing the outcomes and quality of the contractor's performance">
  • Complying with requirements of the project's Management System">

You will have the opportunity to inspect construction work for compliance with drawings, specifications and codes, and review contractor's technical submittals including method statements, safe systems of work, permit applications and change proposals. Additionally, you will oversee site product quality, support inspections and provide oversight as required. You will also witness inspections and tests of installed facilities and equipment as required by specification and supports the Package Manager in the release of hold points in installation, inspection and testing.

This is an exciting capital works program within an integrated team. We are looking for people with experience in the Construction of infrastructure projects, preferably with electrical HV experience. Customer side experience in the monitoring of construction is also preferred. Good working knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is essential.
