About the Role

The Corporate Communications Advisor will play a pivotal role in enhancing the reputation of Federation University Australia and Federation TAFE through strategic internal and external communication activities.

You will:

  • coordinate proactive media opportunities, including writing engaging media releases, media plans, and talking points to create interesting and informative content;
  • provide expert advice on internal and media communications, ensuring cohesive messaging across all platforms;
  • design and distribute captivating internal communications to staff across various delivery channels, fostering engagement and collaboration;
  • contribute to a comprehensive media and communications calendar to promote coordinated campaigns and enhance the university's presence.

About You

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can work under the direction of the Corporate Communications Manager, interacting with multiple stakeholders across the university community.

To succeed, you will possess:

  • a strong background in media and communications, including experience in writing and editing various types of content;
  • exceptional communication and presentation skills, with expertise in social media, photography, and video production;
  • the ability to effectively manage proactive and reactive media situations;
  • strong organisational skills, enabling you to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Federation University Australia is committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment. All employees are required to hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
