The role of a Design Manager at Thewaternetwork is pivotal in driving the delivery of large projects and programs of work across water, wastewater, treatment plants, chemical dosing, hydrogen, and desalination. The successful candidate will lead a team of highly skilled professionals and ensure the delivery of early-stage detailed designs across multi-disciplinary engineering, environmental, safety, and sustainability.

This position requires a tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related degree, and significant experience in Project Management/Design Management in the water industry. Key responsibilities include leading and developing teams using interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders, and managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders in challenging environments.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Developing marketing strategies and plans to secure national significance projects.
  • Ensuring projects are executed in accordance with KBR's Integrated Management System and quality requirements.
  • Delivering projects on time, within budget, and quality parameters with the objective of client satisfaction.

KBR's Infrastructure Services Australia business offers a wide range of professional services to private and public sector clients, delivering projects in both urban and remote environments across transport, water, environment, buildings, and defence.
