We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Rural Generalists to join our team at the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network. As a Rural Generalist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality clinical services to our patients and contributing to the improvement of healthcare outcomes in regional communities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the care of all patients allocated to you, working in collaboration with fellow Rural Generalists, Specialist Consultants, local General Practitioners, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals.
- Contribute to the provision of safe, best practice, and efficient clinical care, responding to hospital Code Blue calls as required and participating in a 24-hour, 7-day per week roster.
- Supervise, teach, and train junior medical staff and other health professionals, actively participating in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrate wide experience in the management of adult and paediatric emergencies and inpatient services.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, exercising a high degree of professional judgment and clinical competence.
- Highly developed skills in communicating, negotiating, and mediating, along with sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Total Indicative Remuneration (TIRP) includes award salary, managerial allowance, remote call allowance, professional development, A&R Allowance, Super, and Private Practice Arrangements if applicable.
- Flexible working arrangements, including the option to negotiate part-time or full-time hours and the ability to work across both hospitals for a wider range of experience.

As a Rural Generalist with the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of Consultant Specialists, including on-site Paediatricians, General Surgeons, Physicians, Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Anaesthetists, and Orthopaedic Surgeons.
We are part of the Northern and Eyre Training Network and work closely with the Royal Flying Doctors Service, the University of Adelaide Rural Clinical School, and local GP Practices.
