Procurement Officer Role

At Opal Group, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our Opal Packaging Plus business in Rocklea, QLD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for tactical sourcing and inventory management of the Queensland branch.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in supply chain or logistics and previous experience in a procurement or global supply chain role. They will be results-driven, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and possess strong negotiation and influencing skills. Additionally, they will have proficiency in any ERP system and be able to collaborate successfully cross-functionally.

Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring inventory levels are within budget and matched to forward demand, coordinating demand forecasting process to optimise purchasing, and working closely with Operations to ensure stock deliveries are well-timed to ensure smooth operation of logistics and dispatch operations. The Procurement Officer will also be responsible for ensuring that inventory levels are maintained with regards to customer requirements and warehouse capacity, and leveraging existing supplier relationships to source and price products as required.
