Position Overview

As a Cybersecurity Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical defense systems through the development and management of security certification and cyber resilience programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and oversight of essential security certification and cyber resilience documentation.
  • Collaborate with system architects to integrate security measures into system designs.
  • Facilitate regular security working groups to evaluate risks and controls with relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure the successful execution of cyber resilience accreditation processes.

Required Qualifications

  • A University Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field, accompanied by relevant technical experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of systems engineering methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing security protocols for complex systems.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including:
    • Network and system security
    • Access controls and authentication mechanisms
    • Vulnerability management strategies
    • Incident response and disaster recovery planning
    • Compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, PSPF, ISM, DSPF)
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Strong skills in delivery, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation abilities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
