About the Role

The Project Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of WorkSafe's strategy, providing project management services to ensure the successful implementation of projects and initiatives.

As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing project support, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities, to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects.

You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

They will also have a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including PRINCE2, PMBOK, and Agile.

Additionally, the candidate will have experience in supporting medium to large complexity projects, and have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide project management support to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and develop and implement risk management plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on project progress, and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Accreditation in PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, or related project methodology disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Experience in supporting medium to large complexity projects
