**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a Part-Time AEYP Support Worker to join our team in Gunnedah. The successful candidate will provide support and services to Aboriginal families and children aged 2-6 through early intervention work, promoting improved early childhood development, care, education, and school readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with Aboriginal families and children to identify their needs and develop personalized plans to address them.
  • To provide cultural support and services to Aboriginal children, young people, and families, advocating on their behalf when necessary.
  • To build strong relationships with community agencies to strengthen family connections and promote overall well-being.
  • To travel to various locations to provide support and services to clients as needed.

Requirements:

  • A deep understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, societies, and cultures in NSW.
  • The ability to work effectively with Aboriginal families and children, respecting their cultural heritage and traditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality services that meet the unique needs of each client.
