**Job Title:** Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Community Mental Health Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our service, you will play a vital role in providing assertive and intensive family-focused interventions, as well as short-term care coordination for children, young people, and their families who are experiencing acute and complex mental health problems.

 

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments, collaborative goal setting, and care planning for children, young people, and their families.
  • Deliver assertive outreach services and support best clinical practices associated with optimal outcomes for young people and families.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

 

**Requirements:

  • A recognized degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, with registration with AHPRA or membership to AASW.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation, and treatment of child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship issues.
  • Experience working systemically with young children and adolescents with mental health problems, their families, and their system of care and support.
