Loader Operator Job Overview

Operating a Backhoe for all duties onsite is the core responsibility of this role. This position requires the successful candidate to maintain a professional image and deliver high-quality customer service at all times.

About the Job Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of equipment, including Backhoes, with a focus on efficiency and safety
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Inform and assist drivers and/or members of the public of proper placement for dumping loads
  • Excavate, load, transport soil, gravel, and other materials as required by the job
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions, or operating procedures and company regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Heavy Rigid (HR) & Backhoe Licence
  • Experience operating a Backhoe 4 in 1 Bucket
  • Ability to work extended hours, including night shifts and weekends, when required
  • HR Truck Licence & Backhoe Ticket
  • Own reliable Transport for commuting to and from work sites
  • Experience in the waste industry or a related field
  • Good work ethic and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Self-motivated and mechanical aptitude
