Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational programs on family history research methods and techniques, equipping patrons with the skills necessary to navigate complex family trees.
  • Collaborate with other library staff to develop new initiatives and services that enhance the patron experience and promote family history research.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as history, genealogy, or archival studies, demonstrating a strong foundation in research methods and theoretical frameworks.
  • Proven research skills and experience working with historical documents, including manuscripts, photographs, and other primary sources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patrons and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
