Job Summary:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a registered nurse to take on a key role in occupational health and safety within our dynamic industrial setting.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive individual who can provide immediate medical response to workplace injuries and illnesses, assess and manage acute and chronic health conditions, and liaise with external healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency medical assistance to employees
  • Conduct thorough assessments of health conditions and develop effective management plans
  • Collaborate with external healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
  • Develop and implement pre-employment and periodic health assessments
  • Advise on employee fitness for work and potential workplace health risks
  • Coordinate return-to-work programs to support employee recovery and transition back to work
  • Participate in claim reviews and rehabilitation planning to minimize downtime and ensure smooth recoveries
  • Lead drug and alcohol testing initiatives to maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage the site medical center and first aid resources to ensure seamless operations
  • Support emergency response and safety initiatives to protect employees and company assets

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (General) through AHPRA
  • Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certification
  • Rehabilitation Coordinator accreditation
  • Postgraduate qualifications in occupational health or nursing an asset
  • Desirable experience in manufacturing, mining, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with NSW Workers Compensation legislation and processes an asset
  • Mental Health First Aid certification an asset
  • Drug and alcohol testing qualifications and experience an asset
