About the Role

The Housing Temporary Employment Register is a platform for finding full-time or part-time opportunities.

Fixed-term or secondment positions (up to 12 months) are available, as well as transfer at level for current permanent public sector employees.

The register is actively monitored by hiring managers who match applicants with roles that align closely with their skills and experience.

  • Customer Service Officer – Level 2

Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring all eligible Western Australians have access to affordable and secure housing.

This is an office-based, front-line position and our first point of contact for people seeking assistance.

Housing Services Officer – Level 3

Responsible for managing and monitoring a designated number of State Public Housing tenancies to ensure tenants are supported, payment of rent is sustained, and properties are cared for and maintained.

Typically, you can expect to manage between 250-300 tenancies and spend at least 2 days a week out of the office with your tenants.

Property Services Officer – Level 3

Responsible for managing, controlling, and monitoring property maintenance functions for a designated number of properties within the Housing Maintenance Services area as part of a team.

Typically, you can expect to manage the maintenance needs of approximately 600 properties.

Case Manager – Level 4

Manage complex tenancy issues, including complaints and disruptive behavior, within public housing.

Conduct investigations, liaise with stakeholders, and take appropriate action to ensure fair and effective resolution.

Support safe, sustainable housing outcomes through accountability and collaboration.
