Underground Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Underground Maintenance Electrician to join our team at the Tropicana Gold Mine. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our underground infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance tasks in an underground mining area on fixed plant infrastructure as directed by the Underground Electrical Supervisor or Superintendent;
- Installation and maintenance of LV and HV electrical power;
- Maintaining substations, pumping systems, refuge chambers and surface infrastructure at an underground mine;
- Ensuring team compliance with all company, legislative and statutory regulations in regards to electrical;
- Working within the maintenance team carrying out maintenance and installation work;
- Collaborating with electrical department personnel;
- Liaising with maintenance personnel and supervisors on safety, performance and technical issues;
- Assisting in the execution of daily, weekly, monthly work plans and schedules;
- Current WA Electrical Workers License;
- High Voltage Switching Operations Competency;
- Previous experience in the mining industry preferably in maintenance and installations in underground hard rock mining and surface infrastructure;
- The ability to work in a variety of environments, including noise, dust, elevated work areas, confined spaces, extremes of temperature, water and slurry environments;
- A nationally accredited Working at Heights certification is desirable but not essential;
- Good written and verbal skills;
- Hold a current WA 'C' class drivers license;
- The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance;
- Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (Mandatory).
