About the Role

The Tasmania Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of projects related to Outpatient Services. As a key executive-level management role, this position requires a strong leader who can provide strategic direction and expertise to achieve better clinical and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Outpatient Services agenda for the Department of Health, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of frameworks and system-wide Outpatient Service programs.
  • Oversee and manage the implementation and evaluation of Outpatient Services initiatives and projects, including the management of assigned human, financial, and physical resources.
  • Provide high-level strategic expertise and specialist advice to the Secretary and Health Executive on priority issues related to Outpatient Services.
  • Deliver and monitor key transformational activities required to deliver the Outpatient Strategy.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
What We Offer

The Tasmania Government offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $172,245 per annum, and a 11.5% superannuation contribution. Additionally, the following allowances may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
