Workshop Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team in a transport and logistics company with over 35 years of experience. As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team while carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance on heavy vehicles and trailers.

The ideal candidate will have solid practical work and leadership experience, preferably in the transport industry. They must possess excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills, as well as flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate fleet and equipment maintenance
  • Plan and manage day-to-day workshop operations
  • Cook and mentor mechanics
  • Oversee smooth running of service department
  • Quality control and ordering parts
  • Plan and manage technician workload
  • Manage and drive technicians' KPIs

Requirements:

  • Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and experience
  • Solid welding knowledge and experience
  • Solid diagnostics experience
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Able to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Intermediate computer skills
