Senior Associate - Corporate M&A

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our top-tier Corporate M&A practice in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and foreign investment matters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on the full spectrum of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A, ECM, joint ventures, restructures, and corporate governance matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documentation, shareholder agreements, underwriting arrangements, and regulatory filings.
  • Managing complex transactions end-to-end, coordinating with clients, advisers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient execution.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers, contributing to training, knowledge sharing, and team leadership.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, client relationship management, and thought leadership activities.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 6 years' post-admission experience in corporate law, ideally gained at a top-tier or leading national/international firm.
  • Strong experience advising on M&A, equity capital markets, and foreign investment matters.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with sound commercial judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters with autonomy and professionalism.
  • A collaborative, client-focused mindset with enthusiasm for mentoring and contributing to a high-performing team.
