We offer a wide range of services, including complex commercial disputes, litigation support, expert witness engagements, business valuations, fraud investigations and financial investigations. Our clients include major global financial institutions, private equity houses, law firms and corporates.

As a Senior Consultant, you will oversee client engagements, conducting thorough financial analysis and presenting findings in written form. You will have visibility across the whole engagement, appreciating how each aspect comes together to deliver a high-quality final product. You will be assisted by and supervise junior staff, working directly with senior team members who will support and guide you throughout the engagement.

You will develop a strong knowledge of the legal process, especially regarding litigation and providing expert opinions, while utilizing your analytical, accounting and finance skills. Your professional development will be enhanced through internal and external training, on-the-job coaching and mentoring.

The role involves:

  • Conducting detailed financial analysis using Microsoft Excel and other tools to solve problems, including loss and damage assessment
  • Reviewing information received and identifying further information required to complete the analysis
  • Analyzing and interpreting large volumes of information, including accounting, financial and banking records
  • Reviewing financial statements for compliance with Australian Accounting Standards
  • Undertaking research into companies and industries using Capital IQ and other data sources
  • Preparing expert reports, client reports and presentations detailing project scope, methodology and findings
  • Interacting and meeting with clients, including lawyers, in-house counsel and senior accounting personnel
  • Developing project planning and management skills
  • Supervising junior staff and providing coaching to junior team members

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
  • Completed or working towards an Australian or internationally recognized professional accounting qualification
  • 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, including experience in forensic accounting, business valuations, auditing and/or management accounting
  • Strong understanding of and interest in forensic accounting
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Experience in writing reports
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyze complex financial information
  • Experience of leading small teams
