Procurement Specialist

The procurement team is a critical component of the organization, responsible for ensuring that goods and services are sourced in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role reports directly to the procurement manager and plays a key part in maintaining the memorials contracts register.

Under the direction of the procurement manager, the procurement specialist will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to business sections and the executive within the memorial. This includes:

  • Providing advice and guidance on procurement and contract management processes.
  • Managing team tasks in the procurement inbox, including allocating tasks to team members and tracking and maintaining key procurement and contract documents.
  • Maintaining the memorial's contracts register in the technology one financial system, which informs reporting and supports commitment and budget management.
  • Generating cyclic and ad-hoc reports, including contract expiration reports, council reporting for contracts valued at or above $100,000, and ausTender contract notices and standing offer notices.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Duties
