RPR Trades is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our client\u2019s large, modern facility in Wacol. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the meat processing plant and equipment to support the day-to-day production requirements of the business.

We are looking for a self-motivated trade personnel with good ability to diagnose and troubleshoot as well as provide preventative maintenance across the plant. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring maximum equipment uptime by completing effective and efficient electrical preventative maintenance when production is not running on all packaging production lines.
  • Endorsing excellent communication skills to manage day-to-day tasks, quality, safety issues, and escalations to your supervisor.
  • Ensuring that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.
  • Being a proactive team member who shows initiative to build on cultural change improvements to create a stress-free environment.

About you:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent.
  • Apply well-developed knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations, and Standards.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook and ability to use maintenance management systems (E.g., SAP).
  • PLC, Variable speed Drives, and Pneumatics experience is advantageous.
  • A disciplined ability to work safely and autonomously in a team environment.
  • Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (highly regarded although not essential).
