Job Description

We are seeking an experienced cost estimator to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and experience working on data centre projects.

Salary:$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role

This is a key position within our team, responsible for providing technical pre and post-contract support to our current secured data centre projects and general MEP support to the wider Sydney team.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior cost managers across all aspects of projects, including cost estimates, quantity take-off, value engineering, tendering and evaluation, progress claims and variation assessments, and final account close-out.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to senior cost managers on all project aspects
  • Estimate costs and produce final cost plans
  • Measure building elements for cost planning purposes
  • Engage with the market to obtain quotations and pricing for cost estimates
  • Progress claim and variation assessments and valuations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in quantity surveying or a related field
  • 1-3 years post-graduate experience in cost estimation and quantity surveying
  • AIQS or RICS membership or currently on the pathway to membership
  • Experience with CostX software preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
