Job Opportunity: Expert Travel Guide

Are you passionate about showcasing the natural beauty and rich history of Tasmania to enthusiastic travelers? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated travel guide to join our team and create unforgettable journeys for our valued guests. Tours include day trips around Hobart and multi-day excursions throughout Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of guests throughout the tour, adhering to all relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and personalized experiences by anticipating guests' needs, providing tailored recommendations, and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the tour.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the tour destinations, including historical, cultural, and natural aspects, and provide engaging and informative commentary to enhance guests' understanding and appreciation of the locations visited.
  • Foster positive relationships with guests, establishing rapport and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and engage in attentive and genuine interactions to ensure guests feel valued and well-cared for throughout the tour.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Passenger Public Vehicle (PPV) provision to ensure safe and comfortable transportation for our guests throughout the tour.
  • Possess a recognized First Aid certificate to prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests during the tour (Wilderness First Aid preferred).
  • Light Rigid driver's license required.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check: Hold a current Working with Vulnerable people check, ensuring a child-friendly and safe environment for families who join our tours.
  • Possess a good understanding of Tasmania's history, attractions, and hidden gems, and prior experience as a travel guide in Tasmania is advantageous.
