Senior Product Designer Job Description

This role is for a seasoned designer who can lead the end-to-end design of a unified user experience, crafting intuitive interfaces for various software touchpoints.

You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer teams to clarify complex workflows, deliver a consistent user experience, and grow a small but impactful design function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a design vision that ensures a seamless user experience across all software touchpoints.
  • Work with product managers, engineers, and customers to translate technical requirements and user needs into clear interaction models and intuitive designs.
  • Define and maintain a design system promoting consistency, scalability, and cross-platform alignment.
  • Conduct UX discovery workshops to map user journeys, personas, and workflows for different customer segments.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning by identifying UX gaps, usability opportunities, and product cohesion challenges.
Requirements
  • A degree in interaction design, HCI, UX, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar.
  • Ability to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed visual specs.
  • Strong UX research practices and familiarity with usability testing.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and front-end development constraints.

This position requires 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces for technical or enterprise-grade software. Proven experience designing for tools, platforms, or complex B2B applications is essential. Experience in industries like automotive, aerospace, defence, or industrial software is highly desirable.
