Mental Health Nurse

About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to support client recovery and well-being.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care across the mental health spectrum, building therapeutic relationships with clients and families, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care with the team, maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation, and promoting health, safety, and continuous improvement.

About You

  • You will be a Registered Nurse with current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • You have demonstrated experience working with people presenting with an acute mental health problem and advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within minimal direct clinical supervision
  • You possess effective high-level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to exercise independent professional judgement when solving problems
  • You have a working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007 and demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers and carers regarding mental health care
  • You understand the recovery philosophy and trauma-informed care in Mental Health and are able to implement these within clinical practice

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
