Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure academic quality in discipline-specific knowledge, skills, and pedagogy.
  • Coordinate and assess work placements, supervise staff, and plan continuous improvement.
  • Undertake training and assessment activities to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage timetabling and planning processes for work placements.
  • Supervise and mentor staff on assessing work placements.
  • Conduct work-placement training and assessment.
  • Monitor student feedback, participation, academic progress, and attendance.
  • Prepare semester work placement reports for the Academic Board.
  • Manage collation, moderation, and submission of results, as well as finalisation of grades.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in coordinating higher education work placements or a similar role.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work).
  • Strong background in industry and analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Job Complexity and Knowledge:

This position operates within a collegial team environment but requires independence and initiative.

The incumbent is expected to gain and apply a clear understanding of the organisation and the role of the school, including knowledge of policies and procedures.
