About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Group Insurance team at MLC Limited. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in upholding and enhancing our reputation among key stakeholders, ensuring high-quality decision-making aligned with our underwriting philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and translate them into best practices, monitoring adherence and responding to market issues.
  • Assess MLCL products, ensuring quality control and maintaining underwriting philosophies, driving consistency and improving processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including reinsurers and advisers, communicating effectively with all key stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and presentations for clients and intermediaries, leading by example and supporting junior staff.
  • Contribute to a strong risk culture by adhering to the risk management framework and monitoring risks promptly.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Underwriter with at least 7 years of underwriting experience, holding tertiary or industry qualifications, and being ALUCA CPLI qualified. You should have a broad range of product experience with appropriate authorities, in-depth knowledge of protection/life insurance markets, and proven customer-focused underwriting service delivery.
