Furniture Distribution Centre Operations Assistant

Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to work as a Distribution Centre Operations Assistant at our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders with precision, loading and unloading trucks and containers, performing stock checks, maintaining housekeeping standards, and operating a forklift (training provided). In addition, the role requires supporting all departments within the distribution centre and collaborating closely with team leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers safely and effectively
  • Conducting regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Operating a forklift in accordance with safety protocols
Requirements:
  • No prior warehouse experience is required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary to succeed in this role
  • The ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights is required
  • A valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is necessary
  • A flexible schedule that includes working Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, with occasional overtime
