About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at KinCare in Wollongong. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly customers to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping to help our customers maintain their independence.
  • Offer social support and access to lifestyle activities to enhance our customers' quality of life.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' physical and emotional needs.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
  • Transport our customers to appointments and provide social support to help them stay connected with their community.

Requirements
  • You must have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is a part of the role.
  • You should be able to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
  • You must be available to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
