About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team in Australia. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and adoption of AWS services among startups in the APJ region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for AWS services among startups in APJ.
  • Build and maintain relationships with startup executives and developers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.
  • Own the GTM strategy and execution for Serverless in APJ, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.
About the Team

The WWSO team helps customers adopt our newest and most advantageous technologies. We are technology specialists. The WWSO Startup team is a team dedicated to helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of technology domain experience in serverless architecture and applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity.
  • Established track record of building rapport with Startup executives and closing strategic deals.
  • Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
