Seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our esteemed Board of Directors at Greenpeace Australia Pacific Limited. As a valued member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation's vision and mission.

We are looking for exceptional candidates with strong finance, digital marketing, and cultural expertise, particularly those with experience working with Pasifika communities. Your leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively will be vital in driving our initiatives forward.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding organisational strategy: Ensure our mission remains relevant and effective in the ever-changing landscape;
  • Providing oversight: Continuously monitor and improve our programmes and activities to ensure alignment with our goals;
  • Leading by example: Set objectives and performance indicators for our CEO and regularly review their progress;
  • Fostering partnerships: Secure necessary resources to achieve our mission and sustain the organisation;
  • Maintaining governance standards: Uphold ACNC Governance Standards and ensure robust systems for risk management and reporting.

You will also be expected to:

  • Uphold fiduciary duties and avoid conflicts of interest;
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social context of Pasifika people;
  • Showcase your research and scientific literacy skills, if applicable;
  • Display leadership qualities, collaboration skills, and a willingness to speak up and ask tough questions.

This is a voluntary position, although remuneration can be discussed during the interview process for candidates who require financial compensation. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including expenses covered for Board meetings, which will be conducted virtually or in-person as required.
