Bar Attendant Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic Bar Attendants to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to showcase your skills, we would love to hear from you.

Hospitality is a fast-paced industry that requires a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Bar Attendant, you will be the face of our establishment and play a crucial role in shaping our guests' perceptions of our venue.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be able to multitask efficiently, manage cash handling responsibilities, and maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and serving customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Providing information on beverage selections and promotions
  • Handling customer queries and complaints in line with venue policies
  • Preparing and serving drinks to standard recipes
  • Monitoring customer consumption and applying RSA principles

Requirements include:

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain same
  • Relevant qualifications in Hospitality or a related field highly regarded but not essential
  • Minimum one year experience as a bartender / bar attendant
  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes and presentation standards
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations for food and beverage service
