Key Responsibilities:
  • Care Governance: Ensure that care practices adhere to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Resident Satisfaction & Experience: Lead initiatives to improve the quality of life for residents, ensuring they receive person-centred care.
  • Care Team Leadership & Management: Provide direction and support to the care team, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
  • Care Management: Oversee the care plans and ensure residents' needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Resident Classification & Subsidy: Ensure proper classification of residents for appropriate funding and subsidies.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a focus on quality care.
  • Reporting & Accountability: Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting of care activities.
  • Monitoring & Compliance:
    • Oversee resident admissions, ensuring they meet quality and compliance standards.
    • Evaluate and monitor care quality, addressing any gaps or deficiencies.
    • Investigate care incidents and address concerns promptly.
    • Track clinical indicators, physical restraint, psychotropic medication usage, and antimicrobial stewardship to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a clinical nurse, care coordinator, or care manager, with at least one year in an aged care setting.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex care scenarios in an aged care environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, care governance, and clinical standards in aged care.
