Job Summary:
The Tasmanian Government is seeking a Registered Nurse - Student Midwife to strengthen health outcomes through the provision of quality, clinically appropriate midwifery care in partnership with women and their families/significant others and other health professionals while undertaking study that will lead to registration as a midwife.
The Role:
- Provide quality, clinically appropriate midwifery care in partnership with women and their families/significant others and other health professionals.
- Undertake study that will lead to registration as a midwife.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of midwifery care policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality midwifery care to patients, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and research.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of midwifery care policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Confirmation of enrolment in a midwifery course accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
