Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

The Project: The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km.

The Role:

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in geotechnical analysis, design, and construction support to manage risks and deliver practical, constructible solutions.
This role is key to ensuring geotechnical outcomes align with project objectives across both underground and surface works.

  • Undertake detailed geotechnical analysis, including stability, settlement, seepage, and foundation design
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of technical reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Oversee site investigations and interpret field and laboratory test results to inform design decisions
  • Monitor geotechnical performance during construction and support the implementation of risk management strategies
  • Ensure all geotechnical work complies with legislative, environmental, and project-specific safety requirements
About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist
  • Experience in onsite project management of subsurface and groundwater investigations
  • Skilled in logging pile, excavation, and drilling soil samples, as well as conducting groundwater assessments
  • Ability to assess and review geotechnical design drawings and technical reports
  • Knowledge of contamination assessment for soil and groundwater
